Kumchacha 'Fights' Socrates Sarfo Over Partial Lockdown Extension

Ghanaians are currently waiting for government's decision on whether or not there will an extension of the partial lockdown.

President Nana Akufo-Addo in a national broadcast on Sunday (April 5, 2020), said a decision on whether or not to extend the lockdown imposed on some parts of the country will be made this week.

He said the decision will be based on the results of the over 19,000 tests being conducted on samples taken from contacts of COVID-19 patients.

We are, thus about to enter a critical phase of our fight in the coming week, as the Ghana Health Service is due to receive the results of some 15,385 out of 19,276 persons who have been reached through contact tracing. It is the results of these tests that will determine our future course of action. Government’s policy and measures will be driven by the science in this matter,” he noted.

Movie Producer, Socrates Sarfo speaking to this on Okay FM's Best Entertainment, Monday, said he supports an extension of the partial lockdown.

" anytime, any day I'm for a lockdown. No matter how difficult it will be, it is better than being infected with the virus..." he indicated.

However, the Founder and leader of Heaven's Gate Ministry, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha disagrees. He said if there is an extension of the lockdown, a lot of people will go hungry.
