Ex Prez Mahama Set To Meet The Media On July 7

Former President and flag bearer for the largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama is set to engage with the media on July 7, 2024, ahead of the December, 2024 elections.

Joyce Bawah Mogtari (Mrs.), Special aide and spokesperson of His Excellency the former President, in a Facebook post on Monday June 24, stated that, Mr Dramani’s media engagement is one of the ways the NDC can carry out the campaign message to all Ghanaians.

This media engagement with journalist is the first in a series of similar encounters that Mahama will have with the media before the December elections. It is an opportunity for him to share his vision for Ghana’s future and address important national interest issues,” Mrs. Bawah Mogtari stated.

The former president, during the media engagement is expected to expound on his popular 24-hour economy, which he believes, is the catalyst that will transform Ghana’s fortunes, as the policy intend to see to a constant economic growth of all sectors of the national economy.

The NDC believes that the 24-hour economy will be a deliberate policy intervention if John Mahama is voted into power as Ghana’s next president.

Joyce Bawah Mogtari added that, “The forthcoming media encounter, a testament to Mahama’s unwavering commitment to transparency and dialogue with the people of Ghana, recognises the crucial role of the media. He firmly believes that an open and interactive conversation with the media is vital in equipping the Ghanaian people with the information they need to make informed decisions.”
