Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has revealed his stance about the brouhaha concerning the selection of a Running Mate for the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP).

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has been mentioned as a prospective candidate for the Running Mate position.

The Minister competes with names like; Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh the Energy Minister, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare the Chief of Staff, Henry Kwabena Kokofu the immediate past Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Protection Agency, among others.

However, the Vice President and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is yet to declare his partner into this year’s December 7 elections.

Dr. Yaw Adutwum, in an exclusive interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM’s 'Kokrokoo' morning show, sought to know if the Minister is being considered for the Running Mate slot.

“We’re told you will be his (Bawumia) Running Mate. Is it true?”, Sefa Kayi queried.

In reply, the Minister denied having knowledge of him being chosen to partner Dr. Bawumia.

He emphatically stated “I have no idea. I don’t know . . . You’re telling me now”.

Dr. Yaw Adutwum was insistent on his response that nobody has approached him for the position.
