NDC And John Mahama Lack The Competence To Create 1 Million Jobs – Danquah Institute Boss

Richard Ahiagbah, Executive Director of Danquah Institute says Ex-president Mahama and the opposition NDC lacks the competence to create 1 Million Jobs as captured in their Manifesto.

According to him NDC and John Mahama lack a clear blueprint on how the 1 million jobs would be created hence such promises cannot be taken seriously.

“The economic mismanagement of the Mahama-led administration was further exposed when a leading member, Hon. Rashid Pelpuo, admonished unemployed graduates to either cut and sell grass or gather stones and sell”.

He said this when interacting with the media on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Danquah Institute.

He further revealed that; “We delve further into the NDC’s promise to create 1 million jobs from 2021 to 2024 should the party win the 2020 general elections. It needs emphasizing that the creation of 1 million jobs is not beyond the capability of any competent government. However, when such a promise is made by former President Mahama, who once told a gathering of unemployed graduates that he was not a magician to provide them jobs, then there are enough reasons to doubt his recent promise. One may be tempted to ask, if former President Mahama is now a magician capable of creating non-existing jobs. Further, it is worth noting that it was the Mahama administration that froze public sector recruitment in 2015 in fulfillment of an IMF bail-out conditionality.”
