Pokuaa Foundation Organizes Free Health Screening For Residents Of Kwesimintsim

The Pokuaa Foundation, has organized an extensive free health screening programme and registration of citizens on NHIS for thousands of residents at Whindo / Assakae and Mpatado /Adientem in the Kwesimintsim constituency, Western region.
This initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the residents of the region, with the objective of promoting well-being and improving the overall health of the community.

The event was meticulously planned and executed by a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, and volunteers led by the Pokuaa Foundation.

The Pokuaa Foundation is owned by the Deputy Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) responsible for Human Resources and Administration, Mrs Yaa Pokuaa Baiden.

According to Mrs Baiden, the foundation was determined to make a positive impact on the lives of the people in the region.

The first free health screening which also helped register health insurance cards for residents took place in the spacious Assakae Roman Catholic Church at Assakae.

The second event took place at the Mpatado Methodist Church at Adientem on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

On the designated days, people from all walks of life flocked to the community centers. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of hope and gratitude, as individuals and families eagerly awaited their turn to benefit from the comprehensive health screenings.

The event offered a wide range of services, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar level assessments, cholesterol screenings, and general health consultations.
