Rebecca Foundation Supports Artisans In Amasaman

The Rebecca Foundation, a non-governmental humanitarian organization founded by Ghana's first lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo together with the parliamentary candidate for Amasaman, Akwasi Afrifa-Mensa on Sunday, September 20, 2020 presented some tools and equipments as well as cash to support artisans and petty traders within the Amasaman constituency.

 The tools and equipments included wheel barrows, trowels, pinch bars, hammers, head pans, shovels, pick axes, cutting-saws, tape measures, spirit levels etc.

The beneficiaries, comprising of fifty [50] female petty traders and fifty [50] males-masons and carpenters were drawn from various parts of the constituency to a short ceremony organized at the Obeyeyie school park in the the Ayikai-Doblo electoral area within the Amasaman constituency.

Speaking on behalf of the first lady, madam Perpetual Asante, Deputy Greater Accra Regional Women's organizer for the NPP who doubles as the Deputy Operations Director, Office of the First Lady charged the beneficiaries to put their tools and equipments to good use so as to benefit their immediate families and the society at large. She assured the gathering of the Foundation's determination to make the presentation a regular feature.

Taking his turn, the parliamentary candidate, Akwasi Afrifa Mensa expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to the first lady and her Foundation for the kind gesture done the people of Amasaman. He urged the gathering to vote massively for president Akufo-Addo and his noble self in the upcoming polls so that such kind gestures can be sustained in the constituency.

The group of beneficiaries were all excited as they showered praises on the wife of president Akufo-Addo, the parliamentary candidate, Akwasi Afrifa-Mensa and the New Patriotic Patriotic Party in general.
